hyperpigmentation: don't cover it, glow with it!

Hyperpigmentation is no joke! As a makeup artist, I come across many women asking for a full coverage foundation. They ask me to apply foundation & concealer, plus makeup powder all over the face, in order to cover their pigmentation as much as they can. But let’s be honest: too much makeup doesn’t make us feel fresh or free!

Something in these women’s eyes tells me that their hyperpigmentation makes them feel angry, sad, insecure… and basically unpretty. I know it affects them whatever their story is: pregnancy, sun pigmentation or age pigmentation.

Personally, I think that every feature of you is beautiful and makes you unique, and you don’t have to feel ashamed. I’m going to share some tips on how to wear a light fresh makeup while covering your pigmentation. The secret is the GLOW.

First the skin:

Friends, it’s not just about coverage! If you really want to see a difference, you need to start from the beginning.

Quandong Green Booster Serum: apply 3 to 4 drops and massage until it absorbs. The lactic acid will help to renew the cells and give your skin a glow. Australian Blue Cypress Face Nectar: apply 2 to 3 drops, warming the oil as you massage it in upward motions. It will help you to illuminate the skin, plus, it is a great primer for makeup.

Now the makeup:

Apply Oat Milk Foundation with the Eco-Vegan Multipurpose Brush to have a medium to full coverage with a satin finish. You can apply concealer if you want, but I would recommend keeping it simple. If you can still see any imperfection, don’t worry and trust me: the magic will happen right now.

Now let´s glow!

ep_blog_banners_shineit3 Apply the Rice Powder Bronzer – Tulum on the cheeks and the pigmentation with the Eco-Vegan Blush & Bronze Brush. The satin finish will help to blend the imperfection with the bronze, in order to achieve an even skin tone.

ep_blog_banners_shineit4 On top, apply the Vanilla Highlighter on the highest features of your face and a little bit on the pigmentation. This will make your skin glow and look healthier.

So, don’t be afraid to shine!
