make time for fitness
Stan Veniaminov is a personal trainer based in Bondi, Australia. Read about his tips on how to stay fit and healthy in this new year.
"With the start of the new year, we are always very busy: getting back to work after many festivities, setting up new routines,… That means you will have less time to focus on yourself, keep in shape, attend fitness classes, seeing your personal trainer, eating clean and healthy…
But it doesn’t mean you have to stop! Even 20-30 minutes a day can make big difference to your come back in the New Year, 2019.
Take time off by going for walk in the park or beach with friends and family, do a few push ups, squats, crunches, light jogging uphill to get the heart rate up, sweat a little, lead by example: that is best resolution you can have for this year!
Majority of people would want to start the New Year focusing on eating well and exercising regularly, drop bad habits if any or cut down on alcohol. The best way to do this is surrounding your self with like-minded people, join a fitness class, sport club, sign up for the gym, take a leadership role with friends and family to pursue healthy lifestyle.
Make sure to have a plan and how to execute it, set reasonable goals so you enjoy the process and have fun. For example, this week, I will jog 5km, do 50 push ups and 100 squats.
Also learn how to make healthy food; either by signing up for a cooking class or following recipes online.
Happy new year to all, keep fit and stay healthy!"
