wastelab: behind the beauty

As a brand dedicated to rethinking waste within the beauty industry, at Ere Perez we champion thoughtful practices that nurture both people and the planet.  

In 2023, we partnered with Wastelab, a Mexico-based organisation which is proud to be more than just a recycling hub—it’s a creative and innovative space where materials destined for landfill are reclaimed, repurposed, and disposed of responsibly.

Our contributions supported Wastelab manage financial obligations and restructure the organisation, allowing it to continue its recycling efforts in northern Mexico.

In 2024, Ere Perez proudly supported Wastelab in reopening its third collection site for recyclable materials in Tijuana, Mexico.  

The reopening of the third collection centre is a key step in expanding Wastelab's capacity to manage and recycle materials.

The new facility will make it possible to achieve the following:

+ Increase in the volume of recycled materials:

With the addition of this new centre, Wastelab will be able to collect and process a larger amount of waste, reducing the volume of trash that ends up in landfills and harming the environment.

+ Expansion of environmental education:

The new centre will serve as an educational hub for the community, raising awareness about the importance of recycling and teaching effective waste separation practices to more people.

+ Enhanced operational logistics: 

An additional facility will allow Wastelab to optimise its collection and processing logistics, improving efficiency and extending its reach to more areas within Tijuana.

Together, Ere Perez and Wastelab are taking bold steps toward closing the loop on beauty waste, ensuring that we leave a healthier planet for future generations. By turning waste into valuable resources and promoting eco-conscious practices, we are helping redefine sustainability within the beauty industry.
