What is my undertone? 

Your skin tone can change with sun exposure, but your undertone always stays the same. (It’s that quiet tone that lives underneath your skin – don’t worry we will teach you how to identify it!)  

The three undertone families: 
• Cool undertones: hints of blue, pink, or red 
• Warm undertones: golden, yellow, or peachy hues 
• Neutral undertones: a bit of a mix from warm to cool 

How to figure out your undertone 

Undertones aren’t always obvious, but you don’t need to be a makeup artist (or beauty expert) to figure out your undertone. These tried-and-true methods can help you identify the right family for you.

The vein test 
Flip your wrist under natural light. 
• Blue or purple veins? You’re likely cool. 
• Greenish veins? Probably warm. 
• Somewhere in between? You might be neutral. 

The jewellery test 
Do you feel more radiant in silver or gold? 
• Silver tends to flatter cool tones. 
• Gold shines on warm undertones. 
• Both suit you? most likely neutral. 

How you tan 
• Burn easily? You’re probably on the cool side. 
• Tan quickly without much effort? Likely warm-toned. 
• A bit of both? You’re probably neutral.
